The Traceability Blockchain is an important tool for verifying authenticity of data and documents in any of the industries that it is used.
The Blockchain provides a permanent distributed ledger. Once data is written to the ledger it cannot be changed. The Blockchain can verify the authenticity of a digital asset without having to rely on trusted intermediaries as long as the data stored on the Blockchain can identify if data has changed. A hash is a one-way function that creates a digital signature of a larger set of data. If even a single byte in the source data changes, the hash will be completly different. The combination of the distributed ledger of the Traceability Blockchain and digital signatures allows data to be proven authentic.
