Data Privacy on the Public Blockchain

One of the biggest concerns companies have about getting on the Blockchain, especially a public Blockchain, is data privacy.

The Traceability Blockchain requires the miniumum amount of data required to provide tracebility. Once the data is posted onto the blockchain it is hashed using a one-way function to create a asset id. The source and destination address, represented as a 64 character value, along with the GTIN, lot number, and possibly serial number are hash to create a single 64 character value.

  • Only the Data Required for Traceability is Stored.
  • Data is hashed using one way functions.
  • A view key is required to view data.
  • The blockchain is protected using cryptography.
